Poem: Revelation

Revelation

by Ysabeault d’Valar-Alba

For one breathless moment
I glimpsed a vista
that flew my Pagan Soul
up and away
from Earth Altars
into the starry expanse
of Galatic Cathedrals
opened for worship

Yet I was not severed
from sand and loam
nor rock, nor tree
nor flesh and bone

but sprung full blown
from the nesting whole

at once knowing
the familiar here
and kenning
the infinite there

not in exile
but in perfect belonging
I came to rest
unexpectedly
redeemed.
